I have a Sony 42" plasma and a Panasonic 32" LCD and I gotta say the LCD picture quality is better. Go for LCD if you can, and I rate Panasonic tv's too - high quality and very stylish. Sony plasma is good, very big, but not quite as user friendly to be honest.
