I voted for two classes, be nice to see enough entrants for two seperate classes each with there own race. Phil makes some very good points but did miss one out when it comes to attracting new people into the class. At all circuits there are a limit on entrants into a race, so if the circuit can host a grid of say 36 riders and we have 38 DSC members wanting to race it will no doubt be the slowest two from quallifying that loose out, if we only have one class there is a good chance these could be riders of 583cc machines and it could be the same people every meeting. If this was to happen then people thinking of entering the class would steer clear of 583cc bikes, so there goes the cheap introduction to racing. Where as if its in seperate classes then it can be done relative to the pole time in each class which may mean a 620/675 rider could miss out. |
