The bolts heads on the conrod bolts are simply 12 point sockets. 10mm I think. Use a 10mm 12 point socket and all is well
The pulleys can be undone with a peg spanner and a suitable socket ground to match the 4 drive points in the nut.
you can use a crow foot spaner on the head bolts or modify an open ended spanner..........................
there are several ways around most of the "special" tools. for occasional use they work fine. If you're going to use them more regularly, then look at investing in the real thing. They are pretty good quality and will last a while if you look after them. You can always sell them on at a later date and recoup some of the initial cost......
