I binned it on Saturday, so did a few others, PaulP, Tonio, and a couple of others, but I don't think these were the fault of tyres, just us riding beyond the limits of them when pushing hard. I think the single tyre rule works well - I am only on my second set for this year and have done approx 9 races and 7 trackdays on both sets and the ones currently fitted will last for the rest of the season - 4 more races (more if I can get into SoT) and probably 4 more trackdays. The only problem I've found with them is when they get too hot - they seem to slide more easily, but then they don't just let go, they do slide, hence you can get plenty of feedback from them. My experience of Supercorsas is then when they start to slide, they just let go completely and you're low-siding!! So I'm happy with the single type of tyres, as has been said before, it does away with more expense (tyre-warmers, gennys, stands etc), but it also eliminates yet another choice - wet or dry tyres. In a novice(ish) series the less we have to worry about, the better. Tim |
