| tried looking at the ignition, unplugged it and used a couple of jump wires to connect the circuit (as if it was being used with the key). Same thing. Have also checked all the connections. I'm at a dead end.... have to wheel it down to the bike shop in the morning.
Thanks for your advice though. Will let you know what the outcome is.
