comparisons..... the bandit is very buzzy, much quicker steering but woefully bouncy and twitchy when it's on its ear. ground clearance is also an issue - i've gone through 3 sets of footpegs, 2 sets of toesliders and have grounded the collector box and the side of the bellypan. on bike visibility is much better, the mirrors are incredibly blurred and the lack of engine braking makes it feel like i've hit a false neutral. the brakes themselves are hopeless - spongy. as indeed are the forks which bottom out frequently. it's much easier to wheelie the bandit - just give it a few revs and flick the clutch. all in all, the bandit is a great, fun charismatic, cheeky bike, but not a patch on the ducati in terms of speed, handling and class.

i'd liken the bandit to a big daft puppy that always wants to play, whereas the ducati is more like a throroughbred polo pony.

security - oh plenty! bikes are off-road, out of sight and gated, chained, belled and CCTV'd up to the max
