| Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't know of any Official Ducati dealer in the UK run by "big business" (remember Motorcycle city??) It might have been the case a good few years ago but now they are all run by an individual or small group of individuals, not a national chain.
A business ain't a business for long unless it covers it costs at the very least, be it big dealer or small specialist.
"Service" never comes for free, you can hunt around to buy your sliding spline sproggle grommet at the lowest price but when it throws its gear dongle 11 months after you bought it you find out how much "service" you bought as well.
