| I had this on a Landrover some years ago.
I used the ball bearing idea to knock off the flaky stuff then used some resin to line the tank - can't for the life of me remember the name of it but it's regularly advertised in Classic Bike & Classic car mags.
To my knowledge, the tank which had the consistency of lace in places when I started out, was still totally petrol tight 5 years later after being abused off road and generally mistreated. |
