Basically need to support the bike in such a way as to allow the swinger to move up and down freely. After that, undo the top and bottom mounting bolts and getting a mate to take the weight of the swinger (pref without the rear wheel), slip the bolts out and the shock will come free.

You don't need to remove the exhaust, the top bolt will slip through the gap in the frame, just need to have the bottom bolt out first to see how this works.
