Are you sure this is not just a "getting used to a big 4 stroke twin" issue? I certainly found that going from the RG to the 888 was a bit of a culture shock on roundabouts and tight corners
I guess its also possible you have a faulty throttle position sensor. Might be worth checking there is a smooth increase in voltage from it as the throttle is opened.
