| Made up my own "bypass" wiring following the instructions on this site. Some of the wires weren't the same colour as the instructions but it wasn't rocket science to sort it out. You can buy ready made plug in kits for about £20-£25 in the UK. Best to do this if you aren't too happy with wiring.
It probably took me a couple of hours messing around so a plug in kit could be money well spent it. I didn't bother 'cos I got the bits for nothing and was feeling particularly tight wad at the time.
Now I know it is reliable I will tidy up with proper heat shrink some time.
