| My first bike was an accident damaged ZX6 that I bought damaged and I repaired.
It was purely cosmetic damage and ideal for a DIY repair.
I would buy an accident damaged bike if it was cosmetic only and I knew the exact damage. One way would be to speak to the owner of the bike at the time of the accident to confirm what type off accident it had been in and how badly damaged it was.
I've seen cosmetic damaged bikes for sale that when you look deaper have had major mechanical repairs done before they are sold as cosmetic only damaged bikes.
One thing to remember is that you will buy the bike cheap and it will always be a cheap bike .... and possibly difficult to sell in time to come. |
