There's not a whole lot to go wrong other than it may need a service. An easy test to do to check all is well with the damping is to turn the bottom adjuster ring. It should index with a click. The clicks should be positive and faintly audible.
If they aren't then it's due a service.
Not fool proof, but a good indicator. |
