Dealers want you to sign on the dotted line, cash does not guarantee you the best deal. And finally - it is about time that all bike manufacturers behaved like their car counterparts and offer new bikes with 3 years inclusive free servicing with say 30,000 miles mileage limitation over the 3 year period.
