Try this one. Its true.

so i have had my first bike - a 600ss - for a week today...

At the weekend, I noticed that my rear sprocket was worn and ordered a new one.

I left here yesterday at about noon to ride and pick one up that i had ordered from the local ducati dealership.
i pulled away from a junction about 1/2 a mile from home when the bike kinda juddered and then nothing.

The engine revved, but i lost all drive.

i pulled in and looked down to see what had happened, fearing the worst, praying it wasnt the gearbox or clutch that had broken as no gear would select.

Turns out that the chain had broken and had come clean off in the rd about 100yds behind me.
Luckily it didnt happen yesterday, as i took it for its maiden voyage down the bypass (slightly faster than 30mph).. so i did the walk of shame and went and collected the chain.

I got back to the bike and was preparing to push it home when my phone rang.

It was my new girlfriend. She asked how i was and then said that she apologised cos thought she was about to make my day worse.

She continued to tell me how she didnt think things were working out (this was actually pretty obvious) and how she thought we should break up.

Double whammy. Seriously it was like it was from a tv show - All at the same time.

Gah, what a day what a day.

so, the new chain is being fitted today along with sprocket.

As for the girl.. just have to laugh at her timing. true comedy.
