| Hi Simon, that sounds pretty shite. As others have pointed out you def need to be able to see it for the new M.O.T. system.
Even if it had'nt been virtually rubbed off i doubt you could powder coat over it as the coating is pretty thick and would prob fill the numbers in.
Ive spoken to John at Veloce in Swardestone ( our local Ducati dealer ) he seems to think he would have no prob restamping for you if you take the frame, then tape over them before powder coating. Hope thats of help mate.
