It's being developed by the same Leeds University lab who did a similar thing with a a car a few years ago. With the car they put the brakes on, with the bike they are reducing the fuel to slow it down-so no sudden application of brakes half way round a corner. So, into 30 at 60, whip the clutch in and coast through at virtually undiminished speed, pass the deristriction sign's, clutch out and off we go. It will only work on a fuel injected bike though so I see a great future for old bikes with carburetters. John |
