Glad you were OK Chi,
There is a big police campaign up here in the north about vehicle safety and thats exactly one of the things mentioned, along with not leaving any bluetooth accessories and if possible phone cradles visible.
Just watch out for them shards of glass - they get bloody everywhere !!!
