| Your throttle body sounds the same as mine. The earlier 888 throttle bodies were much simpler than the later ones shown in the manual and don't have the additional stop. I've cleaned and reassembled my throttle bodies but yet to go through what you have done. Sounds like all you need to do now is balance with gauges. The car probe should work OK or alternatively you could use a colour tune (though the deep plug tunnel may rule this out).
