| VAT is a tricky one, if you live in the uk and buy anything vat rated from a vat registered seller its the law that you pay it. the seller doesnt get it Customs and excise get it. They would rather not collect it for the VAT man.
If you list an item as 'Plus VAT' then the uk buyers get upset (not sure why, you pay it on everything else you buy new in this country)
If you list it as including VAT then the international bidders get upset as it makes tricky for them to calculate what the actual cost is.
Ebay is an interntional market place, so you have to account for the whole world.
