As you're an engineer it should be simple. The switch is either open circuit or closed circuit when the stand is ip or down so, you can do 1 of 2 things:

1. Jumper the switch out.
2. Or cut the circuit.

There's no need to pay any money. What ever you do, use some black heat-shrink wrap to ensure that water ingress in prevented.
