| Had new headlamps shells on me old bike for same reason (the metal bit just in side the headlamp cut away - flaking).
It appeared (from one of the other guys on board who works in this area) that the metal fasteners seem to have reacted with the metal headlamp holders - dis-similar metals etcetera.
