| I know someone who uses a split link on his 350hp drag bike without any problems.
When you think about it there is no reason why it should be weaker than a riveted link, there are no sideways loads on the chain and the pins going through the links are the same material as the rest of the chain.
I guess bikes are manufactured with endless chains becasue its one less job for them to do on the production line. |
