In what way was he lying? Realistically, we all know they have their hands in the pie. The furore over honours for cash is amusing - the evidence albeit empirical is overwhelming but, I find it very amusing how the Tories et al aren't kicking up too much of a fuss.
I wonder why.
What gets me is how multi-millionaires seem to get peerages whilst those who do real useful good altruistic work rarely get recognised i.e charity workers etc.
Power corrupts as does money. It's the usual story of the monied and ruling classes.
