As far as I know (which isn't much ) the pushrod diameter changed when the clutch slave changed.
If you look at the external face of the slave cylinder, if it's the new type instead of a flat face it will have a star shaped (TORX) insert. If you have this type then you should have changed the pushrod for the new type to match at same time.
The lever not moving at all would indicate a mechanical problem of some kind rather than hydraulic. Whip the cylinder off again and check that the pushrod is moving and that all is ok.
