a nice set of clutch plates is indeed around 120-140
as others have said your basket should last longer than the life of one set of plates.
I go for light carbon plates as they don't hammer the basket so much.
do a bit more searching.
also have a shop around on flea bay.
the clutch is not as scary as most people think it is to work on.
you'll sort it out for less than 600 I'm sure.
