I cannot access my 2nd hard drive

When ever I try to access it with explorer the message appears

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error
Program C:\windows\explorer.Exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way.

What does this mean ? and how do I resolve it
