Its just that it was pointing towards a secure area for members details, bike registration and then for ratings of dealers which I believe it was decided needed to be kept seperate.

I think you are taking this all too seriously, did you miss all the tongue in cheek nature of this thread ?
In fact my first reply was a piece of sound advice and a pointing in the right direction ....
Lets not start all that "what do you do for the club" bollox as I personally have no need to justify my contribution to this club, member or not.
Also the Members Section was not until very recently home to a members only board which if i could really be bothered is something that is very well documented as something that the club had stood firm against for an awful long time.
