| New oil filter keeps leaking
I fitted a replacement filter at the weekend and it just keeps leaking. Firstly I did it hand tight and then I tighted it further in stages until the filter started to dent. And it still leaks. I cleaned the oil filter housing and put a smear of oil on the filter rubber.
The filter did look like an cheap unbranded thing (ordered on my behalf). If I do have to take it off can I reuse the oil ? |
