| The banjo bolt is a normal thread so you need to turn it anticlockwise when looking directly at the bolt head to loosen it.
So if it's a bolt that you're loosening and it's underneath something you still have to imagine that you're looking at it from underneath. If you can't see the bolt 'cos you're on the other side of it, and would be looking at it from the threaded end if you had x-ray specs then you turn the spanner clockwise from where you're looking at it, cos that's still anticlockwise as far as the banjo is concerned.
