It is pretty easy at the clocks end, just a knurled collar.
Only problem you'll have is getting your fingers in to get a decent grip on it. Can be a bit tricky.

As far as the warranty goes, I can't see you'd have a problem if the dealer is one you know well and has had the bike in a few times before. They'd have to be reallly tight to void it just for being over, as opposed to the bike going bang on the track and then you taking it in wanting it fixed under warranty when it's 2k over the mileage. |
