| Fitting is quite easy as long as you are OK with basic tools.
Loads of clutch covers in the dealers and on E-bay. These will just replace the steel grey cover that is currently fitted. Choice of design is a personal thing. Polished or coloured Ally, carbon fibre, cut away style or solid. Many will say that you need an ally cover to give protection if the bike goes down on the right side. I tend to go for a cut away carbon cover and take the risk.
If you go for a cut away cover then it would be good to fit a pressure plate. These are Ally and anodised in Red, Blue, Gold, Silver, Black etc.
You can fit stainless springs, but, I cleaned mine with clutch and brake cleaner then painted them with a £1.99 can of satin black paint from the car shop.
As for being caught in the rain, don't think this really matters. Water is either spun off or evaporates with the heat when the clutch is used. |
