Thanks for the replies guys; don't be impressed by all that Bevelology you hear about. They're just Meccano sets really!

I'm a Brit but live in Houston TX, good ol' USA. At least for a while anyway. The US has quite a few low mileage bikes in great condition for sale (that's whay I bought an old, crap UK imported '76 900SS to restore then isn't it?!) I picked this 916 up on eBay a couple of weeks ago for UKP4500 - the guy I bought it off is also a Bevelhead known to me so I trusted him. All bone stock, perfect, dry miles, without even the chip disturbed, no carbon, nothing, original front tyre fitted. I've always had a hankering for a Cagiva graphics bike, with the hand build mythology (if the Bevel Guido built it perhpas not!). I see it as a future classic.....one day I'll bring it back to blighty. one day....

But it still needs to be ridden. And yes I will change the belts, perhaps even pop the valves and check for flaking rockers. And definitely service the clutch slave, and change the fluids, and and and.

Shurely itsh cushtomary for visitorsh to be BOUGHT drinksh??
Cheers
Geoff
