| Not sure I can help, Guy, but is it a particular sub-folder in Windows that you cannot copy or is it every sub-folder? Can you restore files from the waste basket?
If you use Command Prompt, can you re-name the affected sub-folders using DOS commands?
I know I've seen this error message myself, usually when closing down XP, but it never stopped me doing anything and hasn't appeared in a long while now.
