| Confused me as well.
The standard light on my SS has a reflector built into the lens and this has always been adequate for the MOT. All the bikes I have ever owned have had the reflector in the lens.
I would say that the reflector is separate from the lens that covers the bulb. In the case of the SS it is above the bulb. |
