I have a 996 for the track and a 999R for the road, even though the 996 is set up spot on, it is still a straign on the muscles round the track, where as the 999R is a dream to ride on the track and takes alot less effort to turn in, the only reason i stopped using it was the cost involved in a drop, the 996 parts are cheaper and easer to get hold of on ebay. Its true we all want the latest toys and money available i will move up next year, however i will be gutted if the resale price of my R has dropped to a point where a 748\996 demands a higher price. |
