The carbon velocity stacks are really for use on a race bike and they are actually a different length/profile to the OEM stacks. Altering the length of the inlet track is an old trick for shifting the power curve. The carbon ones are designed to give max power high up the RPM range at the cost of losing some low down grunt so probably not ideal for a road bike.
