For the purpose of the test, and in fact good practice, a stop sign should be treated as such...STOP!

Even if you can see its clear to continue and pull straight out.............STOP! ( what the highway code says!!!

I believe on the test they will deliberatley take you past one of these to do just this.

So, think about it, If you come up to a Stop sign,use the Opportunity to showboat your knowledge. STOP at the sign regardless. Put the handbrake on, however momentarily, and STOP!. The when clear pull away.

The putting of the handbrake on generally is the sign they are looking for in a car. On a bike a similar sign is signified by you putting your foot down at the stop sign.
