Yes I can certainly see your point, but there don't seem to be that many ' for sale ' posts and some are obviously of benefit to both parties as the item seems to be sold very quickly. ( There are also the ones which everyone ignores for whatever reason )

If you make it members only for sellers and buyers aren't you reducing the chance of a sale for the seller? I would suggest that for instance ebay is a ' captive ' audience of far larger proportions than this one.
