I made a last minute decision to take the 999S out today,.....I'm glad I did.
Did'nt start out too well by getting a bit hot and bothered wriggling into the leathers,...just got going,....damn fuel lights on.First petrol station had run out of unleaded,(only in Lincolnshire!).....made it to the next one on the fumes,..
Right,Ive cooled down and my tank is topped up,...time to start riding,...
Not VdM's cup of char,I know,but what an awesome bike the 999S is.My grin just got bigger and bigger.Loved the double take from the R6 pilot near Oakham when he saw me in his mirrors,.."where the fook did he come from?"
Loved it even more in Uppingham when a nice looking blonde lady in a VW Golf mouthed the words "nice bike",....then I clocked her miserable looking hubby/partner in the passenger seat,...
999S,great roads,little traffic,.....fantastic.
