Second question - under what circumstances can it ever be right to take another human life? What gives the State the right to take another human life? There are plenty of miscarriages of justice, a pardon and release from prison is small recompense for a miscarriage of justice, but it's a hell of a lot easier to release someone from prison and say 'sorry' than it is to bring them back from the dead. | Exactly!  |
