     Webby, is it the BIOS (the powering up) password or the Windows logon (presumably it's Windows) password?
 
 If it's the BIOS p/w, you'll need to partially dismantle the laptop to disconnect the CMOS battery to delete the BIOS settings (including the p/w).
 If it's the Windows logon ... hmmm ... suggest a total re-format using a startup disk and re-installing Windows.
