There\'s a knack to doing u-turns anyway!

Get yourself along to your local IAM group and ask for a demo. It's not just about leaning/turning the bars, you gotta set the right gas, control it with the clutch & back brake (yes you CAN do it on a Duke!) and sit as UPRIGHT as you can whilst trying to lean the bike as far into the turn as you can. It's very important to LOOK where you want to go and much easier to see it being done than to try and understand my scribblings. I got my "figure eights" down to three car parking slots (tighter than some of the guys on their beemers) on the 750SSie and the 998 is even easier! Getting the hang of this type of slow speed manoeuvring gives you fantastic handling control in heavy traffic.
