Jools, a lot of the restriction is due to the leathers but it's mainly down to the way that your leg bends when you kick compared to when you get off the bike - if you can side-kick to head height then you shouldn't have any problems! Try lifting your knee up in front of you first and bend your leg. Put your weight on the left handlebar, lean forward and then pivot your right leg over the bike around your hips. It will either work beautifully or your mates will be picking you up off the floor! |
