I too have searched far and wide for gloves that are genuinly waterproof. The only ones that do the business properly are indeed Rukka and do have the gauntlett fastenings. They were very expensive at >£130= and had to specially
ordered. ( By Infinity in Guildford ) But that was last year, & have not seen the same since. They are fabric rather than leather , have a removable lining with a clever paraffin encapsulated
thermal layer, Goretex and so on. Never thought they would be that robust if one did come off. Rukka only g'tee them fo4 two years rather than three for their other gear.
