By co-incidence Mrs Jools is expecting the same news today - although she is off work with MS (and can't be legally be sacked or laid off simply because she has this disease) the NHS cuts mean that the hospital where she used to work in palliative care is closing so she wouldn't have a job to go back to even if she could work - she's just off for a meeting with her manager to find out.
Good to know that the HR field is bouyant as well because the job I've done for years in Workforce Development is usually aligned with HR...currently, I've found myself as a 'transition manager' shifting peoples jobs from Europe to India or China...It's the job from hell and I want out... |
