| What a brilliant political tool; I can hear the Minister at a future date now "Well, in our usual way, we opened this up to public debate on our website so we could heed the feelings of motorists in general and in fact people were invited to object to the proposals by petition, this resulted in only 14.5% of all motorists being against the proposals so it was obvious to us that a large majority were in fact in favour, so once again, as a thoughtful and listening government, we have introduced legislation favoured by the majority.........blah, blah, blah" |
