Had this problem before out of desperation i went to the homepage of the search engine and found the instructions to remove it .
you will need to run "regedit" from the start menu and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE then SOFTWARE and open each menu till you find the registry entry with the name of the search engine and remove that entry
