Actually got the name when I was still in the RAF, was loading a nuke onto a bomber one night in deepest Germany, and it was so bloody cold I was wearing a brown wooly climbers balaclava.
The pilot signing for the weapon commented that I looked like a YETI with that thing on and it's stuck ever since. Only recently has that wonderful piece of clothing given up the ghost and gone to meet it's maker )-: |
