| You might well find your laptop has a built-in microphone already (I was surprised too by how good they are when I tried using my wifes to chat on MSN).
You might find a camera is all you need, having said that its been ages since I last used one and the technology must have moved on.
Logitech have always been a respected make and might be worth checking out.
Also many small digital cameras can be used as webcams as well so its something to consider.
